Will take a miracle for him to win so praying for intervention from God is probably his best tactic lol.
That would be great for boxing because Dubois is less demanding than Usyk and will definitely fight anyone.
Because he has a newly acquired a case of Usykhateritis, because he's a Hrgovic fanboy, and sees the writing in the wall, that Filip doesn't have a prayer against Oleksandr. So he wants someone to stop Usyk before Usyk gets to Filip. It's an incredibly petty reason, I mean it's only a matter of time before Filip loses his 0, he's way suckier than we thought he was. So if I were him, I rather it be Usyk that relieves him of his 0 more than anyone else.
I have nothing against Usyk. Usyk beats Hrgovic all day long, but that fight will never happen and that's why I prefer Dubois to win because Dubois vs Hrgovic will happen more easily.
Of course, because you think Filip can beat Dubois where he can't beat Usyk. So... root for Usyk to lose to Dubois via fluke KO, then your boy beats the man that beat the man, and looks like some P4P world beater because of it. Usyk has you all kinds of insecure. Knock it off, you're better than this.
You know that some of the most lunatic fans are Usyk's. So either you praise everything about him (like the colour of his hair even), or you say nothing, not even some rightful criticism (like his terrible inactivity for a man that holds 4 titles). But if your idea is only because you think Hrgovic has better chances against Dubois, then this is wrong and you shame yourself. I get it that you support your compatriot, but the best thing you can do about him is be honest - Hrgovic was given a victory in a draw fight against Zhang and another one for the dirty game against McKean. This is already too much for a man that seems to be limited (ok, strong puncher with a good chin, but that's all). May the better man win. If this is Dubois I wouldn't call it luck - both are there to fight, so whatever might seem like a lucky punch is a result of the reactions of a fighter. If he wins, this will really make things interesting. The fight that will not happen soon is Usyk-Fury because the sanctioning bodies already gave a chance to the Ukrainian to arrange the unification fight, but instead, he left the negotiations at the last moment. Sure, not entirely his fault, but he won't be given a second chance, so he'll have to face Hrgovic n the next 6 months if he beats Dubois, so Usyk-Fury will not happen earlier than Q3 next year, which will also mean Usyk fighting 3 times in 365 days - do you see him doing that? I doubt he'll even respect the timeline for Hrgovic if he beats Dubois.
Dubois is fighting for the Heavyweight title, he is a lucky guy, no thoughts and prayers needed. Many boxers never get the opportunity.
