    Can anyone explain to me what makes Hagler vs Hearns so great???

    Yes I know they went into all out war mode... which is THE WORST POSSIBLE THING HEARNS COULD HAVE DONE !!!!

    This ruined the fight for me. Hearns didnt give himself a chance to win. Who told him Hagler of all people wouldnt be able to take his shots? Who told him he could take Hagler's? Hearns didnt have the chin for this kinda war.

    Im sorry but Hearns gave this fight away to me.

    I don't think Hearns was given much of a choice tbh. Hagler charged at him as soon as the opening bell sounded

    They had decided before the fight that they would engage in this kinda war. The whole promotion of the fight was built around that promise.

    Boxers often say that, but to their credit they kept their word.

    Was smart for Hagler but it wasnt for Hearns.

    Duran-Leonard I best quality fight. One of the best boxer/punchers ever vs one of the best if not the best pressure fighter ever. Hagler-Hearns close second for me. Both surpassed expectations by far.

    :rofl Cant believe i wrote this back than, clearly for me Hearns vs Leonard 1 just so gutted Hearns didnt win since he outbox SRL like no one but gassed.

    Hearns-Leonard 1- just an incredible fight with an incredible ending.

    Hearns-Hagler for being the greatest brawl in the history of the sport.

    Midway through round 1, Hearns was boxing in the middle of the ring and having some success, but Hagler was able to get to him and corner him. Hearns spent a lot of rounds 2 and 3 boxing on the backfoot, but Hagler kept getting to him.

    Great performance by Hagler, especially to fight so differently than he usually did and having it work so effectively against someone on the caliber of Hearns.
