I got Dubois. Joyce is stiff, slow and never moves his head and it makes him painfully easy to hit. He ate like 3 or 4 clean counters from shot to bits 280lb Bermane Stiverne in the first round or two. Dubois isn't gonna stop throwing after two rounds, he'll keep landing.
Wouldn't surprise me if it is all over within 4 rounds, either way. Two big units who can both punch. It really is a "toss a coin" type of fight.
I’ve got Joyce winning this. Although slow and pedestrian like he has shown he can take a shot, has a really good engine and applies pressure for 12 rounds. Dubois on the other has been in with terrible opposition, beating an overhyped Gorman who has done nothing since. Chin checked by an unknown 250th in the world Lartey and struggling with a nearly retired Kevin Johnson my money is on Joyce at this stage via late stoppage
I think Joyce but will be interesting to find out. I just feel Joyce has better experience and faced better level of competition as an amateur and pro whereas Dubois has not faced much coming back at him as of yet talented boy though. I like Dubois’s menacing persona.
Joyce by KO. Dubois will take an early lead, look like a million bucks, then Joyce will land the big and Dubois will fall apart.
Joyce is an enigma to me tbh I watch him and he seems so slow - movement and hand speed - but he keeps chugging round after round His come forward, - keep punching the heavy bag- style does seem to grind down his opponents one chop at a time He has a great engine and work rate He just is so hittable and I guess that's what has me confused. Does seem durable though and apparently not 'chinny' - Dubois is untested for me against anyone really durable Really good fight - DDD trying to bang him out Joyce going Mex and slugging away until he has worn DDD out Cant call it tbh - looking forward to it
I felt the same way until my favourite youtuber Fouts said Dubois is coming along nicely but needs to learn a lot more, so I had another look and his head is far too stationary but his hand speed is good but understand exactly what you`re saying.
I have the exact same opinion which is why choosing an outright winner is proving difficult. Joyce is just so seemingly one paced + easy to hit and Dubois can bang however his engine and durability is there to be seen + the gulf in experience / seasoning.
Joyce should really be dealing with DDD at 33, but I think he’s getting knocked out. Stiverne was catching him clean for heavens sake. got a gut feeling DDD is gonna proper KO him. Joyce to retire after, he doesn’t fit anywhere into the heavyweight landscape especially at his advanced age
what’s the point you are making? Wilder has had 40+ pro fights, fought fury, won the WBC etc. joyce is coming on 34 and fighting a prospect for the British and euro titles in a 50-50
