    115-113 to Sturm.

Really was a fight of two halves, as seen by Jim Watt's scorcard (I think he gave Macklin 5 of the first 6, and Sturm 5 of the last 6).

I prefered Sturms cleaner more eye-catching work in the rounds he won, but tbh Macklin's rounds were usually more dominant and easier to call.

Was a bit shocked when the punch stats came up after about Round 9 and showed Macklin landing only about 8 or 9 more punches than Sturm (something like 119 to 111). I really thought Mackloin had landed a lot more than Sturm up to that point.

A lot of macks body work was catching arms and elbows, and his head work was blocked alot to. When sturm threw he generally landed, and cleanly. Hard fight to score

I don't trust those punchstats they were showing. After the first round they had Macklin only landing 15 shots when it reality it was much more than that.

Punches landed aren't really a good indicator when one is taking them all on the gloves and arms. Ok, so a lot of Macklin's shots might not have landed on Sturm's head cleanly but when he's pounding him away from all angles that's got to count for something. 8 rounds to 4 says obviously not.

No wonder every German based fighter has the exact same gameplan for every fight :-(

And no wonder none of them (bar the Klitschko's due to size) have achieved anything at all outside of Germany.

115-113 For Sturm is how i scored it but wouldve been happy with a draw or Macklin by a similar score personally i prefered Sturms clean work but thought the 116-112 was an absolutely disgraceful score and shows that Macklin was never going to win there and i dont care that the judges were spaniards.

German TV had it to Macklin and the poll on Sat1 had over 70% of the viewers giving it to Macklin.

115-114 Macklin. Like most people, I don't have a problem with Sturm getting the decision as the fight was very close, but 116-112 is a ridiculous score.

he won 7 of the first 9 clearly. Sturm actually did nothing for 6 rounds.

I'd love to sit down with that judge who scored it 116-112 and go through the fight round by round to see exactly where he was scoring the rounds for Sturm...And then call him a ****ing idiot.

114-114- no robbery, macklin proved he's world class and could have got it on a more fortunate night.
