What great left handed fighters did Monzon fight?

I won't disagree or deny your critique of Hopkins. After all, the guy just open glove thumbed Pascal in the eye of his historic championship win. However, with all that said I don't really see holes in his game. When does he get off-balance? I can only see this when he gets dirty.

I think Hopkins could very well win 2/3 against either Monzon or Hagler. I wouldn't predict it, but he's not so much the lesser of the 3, nor is there a class gulf issue in these matchups. I guess your point is mainly that Hopkins skills are over-appreciated because he relied on unconventional and often dirty tactics to look better than he really was in fights. I guess I could buy that.

The bold is interesting. I probably know less than I should on Monzon, but didn't the guy regularly smoke and get a little too lazy. Or is that last bit more a misconstruction based on his calmness and ease when in the ring? Hagler, on the other hand an absolute workhorse ready to go to war. Maybe gave away too much respect at times, but always in shape. Had to with the physical dimensions he had at MW. Hagler to me is always a guy that's not going to blow out any ATG MW. But he'll out-work you in a variety of different ways with his skill-set.

    Hagler

I pick Hopkins to beat Monzon and Hagler to beat Hopkins. I'd pick Monzon to best Hagler but it is 50-50.

Get a new laptop bro. You can get a decent reconditioned one for **** all now. Open a thread in the lounge, you might get some help.

I've heard there are other forums, too, though i've never seen one.

Hopkins, the most skilled, at least equally best conditioned, the most determined to win out of the 3 and the best cheat

He threw loads of combos in his prime

    Monzon.

I'd rather watch Hagler, but I just cannot say he was better than king Carlos.

I'd put Hopkins a notch below both, tbh. But that might just be preference too. Hopkins might beat Hagler for all I know.
    But not Monzon.

Anyway, it's Monzon. That's my pick - Monzon, and defintely Monzon.
