This isn't a legacy or h2h comparison, but simply a thread about who brought you the most joy to watch out of these fighters, and why?

    For me, easy-

    1. Roy Jones Jr did things in the ring that made me feel like a kid. Uncanny natural ability and artistic flair, unhuman reflexes and speed to top it off. Each time I watched him I saw something that I wouldn't expect. This is rare for athletes of any sport.

    2. Pea- One could argue that Pea had these same qualities, but defesively, and they would be right.

    3. SRR- Classic boxing skills, grace, power, combination punching, a complete skill set that has been imitated but rarely duplicated.

    4. SRL- Great will to win, combination punching rarely seen, fought all the greats.

    5. PBF- In the 130lb class, simply the best that ever lived. Level of agression has fallen off in the higher weight classes but I will wait until his career ends before making a full judgement. Still, defensive beauty that is not matched and probably not appreciated enough by fight fans.

    Pea- Obvious
Jones- My second favorite fighter of all time
SRR- My third favorite fighter of all time
SRL- Excellent fighter with a fantastic resume of top opposition, and because PBF was the other choice
PBF- Very skilled, but overrated in terms of resume, and is a cherry-picker, similar to how Jones got at one point, but not as skilled or as entertaining, and without the big wins to back it up.

Love watchin all 5 of them but in diffrent ways, SRR would be my no 1 with jones just sneaking out PBF for 2nd but they are 3 of my 4 favourite all time fighters with duran. probably leonard just above sweet pea but i enjoy watching any of them possibly the 5 most naturally talented fighters i've seen

    1. Roy Jones
    2. PBF (have always been a HUGE fan, from day dot; even before he got popular, or became a "name" or whatever)
    3. Sweet Pea
    4. SRL
    5. SRR (Only cause I've seen the least of him, and the quality is obviously not the greatest).

But this is clearly not who has the best legacy. For that, you could almost REVERSE my list. Go figure.

I grew up watching SRL and watched him have an incredible career. The 80's with SRL, Pryor, Arguello, Duran, Hearns, and Hagler was ****ing great.

SRR next simply on what he did. Had it all, including the MAJORITY OF RESPECT from his peers of his time and all the way through our time.
    He is the #1 P4P.

Jones- Accomplished it all, but could have fought a rematch or two. It is the history of the sport. I'd still like to see RJJ vs Hopkins or TONEY!!

Whitaker- This guy took his style and Defense to high level's. A masterfully, crafty, PAIN IN THE ASS, who was terribly hard to hit clean.

PBF is wasting perhaps ability that he and some wanna say is #1 P4P. It's not too late, but another DLH isnt the right thing.

Jones - Unbelievable. I think he's the most talented fighter of all time and I love watching his fights against anybody at any level. I've always loved his showboating as well.

Whitaker - Beautiful boxing, fought to impress and not just win, very creative great fighter. Master of defense and controlling the ring.

Leonard - Amazing how his great abilities/skills matched his great heart and will.

Early PBF - Floyd was a pleasure to watch early on in his career.. he went in to dominate opponents (not just get a win) and his quick combinations flowed beautifully.

Robinson - I enjoy watching his fights a lot more than other classic fighters, but not as much as I enjoy these modern greats.

Exactly how I have it. Although Sweet Pea and SRL can be swapped for me.

And I've been a fan of Mayweathers since the Ndou fight when my friend shwoed me Mayweather and he told me he had an upcoming fight.:good:good

But Roy Jones was always my favorite. But Floyd is currently my favorite with him being in his prime and Roy Jones on the out.

And, I have seen little to non with SRR. But Ive seen bits of SRL and Sweet Pea.

    1. Mayweather. Mainly because he's the only one that I've seen live, the only one that has lived in my era. When I started watching boxing, Jones was already past his prime and losing to Tarver.

    2. Leonard. I love to watch his fights. The way he dances, his speed, his flurrys, etc.

    3. Tie: Jones and Whitaker. Very impressive to watch.

    4. Robinson. He's a very complete fighter, and very elegant. He's the GOAT. But sometimes bores me.

How can you guys like Mayweather more than Whitaker? Whitaker did almost everything better than PBF while fighting with a lot more passion and heart. His performances were also more dominant to say the least.

STFU.. Mayweather was a hell of a lot more exciting to watch over pea. Pea outboxed guys beautifully and did showman things but Floyd was an animal and he put on a ****ing show early in his career just the same. :patsch This is not a Floyd hater thread C your ****** ass on out.
