I dunno what it is with our sportsman but many are reluctant and maybe scared to go away and learn there craft abroad. Football has the same issues, rarely any footballers go abroad.

I'd like to see some go abroad as well but they probably prefer the fame and the healthy contract and home comforts. If there in it for the long haul they'll sacrifice two years of there life to go abroad for long periods or even stay like Theophane did. It's worth it IMO.

 

Yeah, the vast majority of them know they will be hyped, protected and overpaid here.

If they go abroad they are just another young fighter and will be expected to get by on merit.
