out of the entire contender series who was the best fighter

    in all seasons for me it was sakio bika he was the most skilled and talented, hes the only fighter who hasn't looked out of his depth vs ward, i think mora had allot of opportunities to do something with the contender status but failed colossally, he didn't want to fight anyone as he felt he was being short changed. after winning the prestigious contender belt from fighting elite level foes like, peter manfredo, ishe smith, nija. i think his wins against vernon forrest and mosely need to be put into perspective

    mora got so much hate after the contender, he bitched out of so many fights, He pulled out of the ouma fight, pulled out of fighting taylor and pavlik.

    5. Sergio Mora

    #1 and #2 are pretty clear to me. Manfredo, Gomez, Ishe Smith, Paul Smith, Grady Brewer, Jesse Brinkley and Stevie Forbes are all in the same general vicinity for me with Mora, who gets to #5 by default. Forbes was probably the best fighter overall, but his best days were long gone by the time he was on the Contender.

    Bika is a glorified bum. Mora has a win over a shopworn Forrest which is heads and tails above what any of these other fighters have done. Also like it or not K9 and Mora achieved "titlists" status. Mora #1, K9 #2.
