I've gotten a few of my friends into it, my brother espescially.

My dad got me into boxing, of course with the Tyson craze and all but Tyson just made you want to watch more of Tyson, but when I saw Sugar Ray Leonard vs. Marvelous Marvin Hagler i was like 7 or 8 and that fight made me realise that this is a sport for me!!!! I havent stopped since...

More recently I've gotten my dad and friends into the lighterweights and now they like them much more than the heavies, lets face it heavies are boring in comparison.....

And some people just think I'm a crazy boxing nut with 3 cats:)

The only reason my friends know about de la hoya, floyd, etc is because of me telling about them:-(

None of my friends are boxing fans at all which is a shame as boxing is my favourite sport now by far and the only place I can talk about it is on here.

They probably don't know anybody apart from Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson.

hey ah..sorry if i offended you there, i never meant to generalize every frat group. Its just that most of the frat where i'm from just cause trouble and think that they're some kind of superior gang or something(especially the teenies) when their seniors are unlike them.

anyway my family got dissapointed with fights like pbf-dlh and calzaghe-hopkins. I thought hopkins-calzaghe was good but i guess thats just because i'm really on to boxing, to them it was a different thing and they find it a dissappointing performance.

    btw, i'm from HNU..:yep

None of my close mates are into it, they will come along and watch something big like Mayweather-De la Hoya but not much else. Although a guy from work is a fan and we get out and watch a few fights.

sadly most of the big fights are a joke, when big fights come up i used to invite also my friends like hey theres a good boxing fight tomorrow lets go watch...

i also had my family watching too, and boy oh boy everyone got dissapointed..perhaps it just turns out to be a bad fight whenever i invite people to watch:yep pbf-dlh, pac-mab, calzaghe-hopkins then klitscho-ibragimov..

I'm the only one. They like to watch Roy Jones and Mayweather highlight video's on youtube, but they don't have the patience to watch and enjoy an entire match. They also want to come along to the gym, but none of them did yet. :rofl

A couple of my friends watch Calzaghe, Hatton and Amir Khan fights but that's it. They don't really follow the sport and I can't have a proper discussion with them.

One of my mates once said that Calzaghe looked **** against Kessler and before the Hopkins fight he said Hopkins was going to win. When I asked him why, he said "cos Hopkins has a more muscular upper body." :yep
