so all one has to do in order to become a sucess in the boxing world is win an Australian title? You do realise that the boxing world/proffesional ranks is much much larger than the Australian title dont you?

You should give Danny Green a call, tell him to **** off the IBO title , grab the Australian title and just keep defending that on PPV LOL.. blokes like you wont know a lick of diffrence haha

This where you should be thanking your fellow more enlightened than yourself ESB members from steering you out of your baseless vitriol regarding Aussie Tent Fighting legends.

Back in the 50's 60's and 70's, the Aussie title was worth far more than the IBO world title will ever be worth.

Hey CHB, i noticed on your avatar that the Brophy Poster says Boxing & Wrestling.

    OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YEAH!

Is there actually any Wrestling or is this false advertising?

No doubt the Aussie title had alot more weight back in those days, today its really not worth a pinch of sht with blokes able to obtain it by fighting miss matched opponents to ensure they get the title. I stick to my point that being no tent fighter could ever become a success in boxing and was never able to win anything more than an Australian title, even then only a hand full were able to do so.

Boxing is a world scene, you cant just remain in Australia and hope to take on and become the best, one must venture over the pacific as you all keep telling Mundine.

i said i accept that some went on to win Australian titles. Can you girls accept that none went on to win world titles? Practice what you preach.

Plenty of blokes who never fought in tents won Australian titles, some even ventured across the pacific to take on and become the best, none of these tent fighters were able to do the same, or did blokes like Les Darcy start off in Tents and ive got it all wrong?

Roscoe, Forums are a platform for debates and discussions, by asking if any of these so called success storys that won Aussie titles went on to win any world titles is very relevant to the discussion.
