Had Richards travelled O/S, he'd have been World Champion at either M/W of Light H/W.

Jerry Jerome would have been World M/W champion had he a proper trainer and earlier start in the game.

Elley Bennett was refused his World title bout in South Africa due to Apatheid and his Aboriginality.

Dave Sands, had belted the **** out of French idol, Robert Villemain. A couple of months later, Villemain beat Jake LaMotta in a nontitle fight. LaMotta refused to defend his crown against Sands. Dave was killed on the way to training camp, having just been notified of his World title shot. Sands had also pasted Bobo Olsen, who went on to get the World title, having replaced Sands after death.

 

So did all the talent come out of the legit amateur scene or did it come out of Tent Shows?

Im just curiouse to know if the greats like Ali and Sugar Ray ever fought in Tents not some bloke 100 years ago.

Ummm... Errr.. Ty, Elley Bennett and Dave Sands were fighting at the same time of Sugar Ray. The night Sugar Ray was beaten by Turpin in London, Dave Sands was on the undercard knocking out Turpins brother in 1 round.

Wilde is considered an ATG and in plenty of peoples TOP 20 ATG who EVER laced a pair of Gloves up you dozzy twat . the point i proved to you is that WILDE was a tent fighter who won the FIRST ever Flyweight Title of the World , that is what you originally asked for wasn't it ? .
