Defeat an opponent by superior boxing ability, Which of these fights was a great performance by OUT BOXING the other opponent?

    Martinez vs Chavez jr

Sergio Martinez outboxed, outpunched and outclassed his younger opponent for 11 rounds. He used movement to frustrate him and gave him no openings to get into a rhythm.

    Marquez vs Pacquiao 3

Close decisions in all combat sports are often riddled with controversy. In a lot of cases, passionate fans and even some pundits waste no time throwing the word "robbery" out there.

    Pacquiao >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Chavez Jr.

Martinez v Chavez Jr was more one sided. But Pacquiao is levels upon levels above Jr.

I don't think you quite understood.

Pacquiao is levels clear of Chavez Jr (I'll also state that Marquez >>>>>> Martinez, but that's not relevant). Outboxing or displaying your skills against a highly skilled boxer and picking up a competitive win is greater than outboxing or displaying your skills against a limited boxer.

Not taking away anything from Martinez's victory, he beat what was in front of him. But...

    Marquez-Pacquiao >>>>>>>>> Martinez-Chavez Jr.

    Agreed with Anthony.

Pacquiao is lightyears ahead of Chavez jr, the array of skills used by Marquez was imo greater than Martinez's against JCCjr. Simple as that

I agree with this but did Pacquiao got Out Boxed by Marquez?
It's a close fight, it wasn't like Marquez was dominating Pac like Martinez.

Marquez and Martinez both had great performances where they outboxed their opponents.... the difference was the level of opponent. Marquez deserves more credit as Pac is eons above JC Jr in class even though Martinez more clearly outboxed Chavez.

Either way though to answer your question both are perfect examples of outboxing someone. Sergio being more dominant vs a weaker foe should have no bearing on this.

Marquez beat another Fellow P4P and easily outboxed him.

Martinez outboxed a so called Protected hype fighter who was nothing more then a name was the general concensus...

    Marquez's win carries more weight.

Chavez was also arguably a cruiserweight in there, while Pac-Marquez was at least close.

Even minus the "post-fight facial evidence" everybody who have seen both fights will agree that it's Martinez, simply bec it was utter domination.
JMM had tons of moments against Pac but did have good rounds too.
