I know this fight would probably never happen since Floyd probably knows that a fight with AM will be hard hard work. I think is obvious that Floyd knows that he would not be able to hurt Margarito at all and would have to back pedal for 12 rounds for 3 mins but if it does happen what do you guys think is the most likely outcome?
I think at some point in time during this fight - Floyd stands toe to toe with him and counters him in the middle of the ring. I also think that Margarito is a dumb fighter who just walks in and throws punches ... and he's somewhat robotic with his **** ... no rhythm, no timing, no movements, no savvy ... He would make himself an easy target for FLoyd and he's not the hardest puncher than Floyd has ever faced ... Margarito doesn't have one punch power ... he just wears you down through accumulation ... and he hasn't been hit to the body like Floyd would do to him. He's also slow as **** and couldn't time good enough to connect flush on PBF ... by the time he throws ... he misses badly and gets counter ... and PBF going to make him work more than Cotto did ... which in turn would wear Margarito down.
I'm sure PBF was watching ths fight saturday thinking that I would give this guy a boxing lessson. This fight would be an ugly fight for PBF much like Baldo he would win clearly but get bashed for it because people would say he ran.:-( That's the real reason why this fight won't get made, PBF has a huge ego and hates that type of criticism. PBF by wide UD:deal
I don't think he'll get stopped. But he will run his ass off. And he'll lose the decision just to say he went the distanct with Tony.
Mayweather either pitches the shutout or gets a wide UD. Just look to how he handled Baldomir. Margo would be tougher but the way he was getting caught on the way in by Cotto for the first 6 rounds, imagine how PBF would do it for ALL 12 rounds. He never has shown fatigue and I think that late in the fight, we would see Margo show some kind of discouragement.
Yeah but he also hates the criticism look at his reaction in the post fight interview with Merchant for the Baldo fight he was pissed and in the post fight press conference.
Margarito would keep Floyd on the ropes and just throw those left uppercuts all night Floyd would be running away all night (just like cotto), and eventually have no where to run, stranded on the ropes, and Margarito would throw them Left uppercuts, and right hooks to the body.
Floyd by wide UD. It would be a boring fight in my opinion. More competitive than the Baldomir fight, but just as boring.
Mrgs stops Mayweahter in the 11th after Mayweather stops becuase he is losing on the cards and tries to trade with Margs This will be like the Castillo fight excpet floyd gets KO'd And I feel body shots are the reason Floyd turned down 8 mill to fight Baldomir for half that I think Floyd turns down 10 mill now to make nothing PU$$Y
This post is wrong in so many ways. Just look at how he handled Baldomir? Yea, 36 year old cab driver with little punch. Not a 30 year old strong as hell gym rat who stays close to fighting weight year round. Sure, same guy right? Imagine PBF doing what Cotto couldn't do. Ok. So this is basically saying now that the dust has settled Cotto isn't on Mayweather's level. Whatever. I remember Mayweather getting cracked in the mouth a few times as well. And lastly, the discouragement thing. When has Margarito ever been discouraged? You are pulling at straws man and really showing your hate for Tony.
Thats frustration from a guy who doesn't know **** about what it takes to be a boxer or has never boxed before. I don't think you would take disrespect from a person criticizing you for what you do best and he or she has never done what you do before. I think he did well when Brain Kenny was asking him about Cotto ...
