I think that these threads are coming up become the fans on this forum misses Floyd.

Hate him or love him ... they still want to see him active in the sport.

I agree. Most of his opponents eventually became very discouraged during mid rounds for eating flush counters and looking stupid for missing.

Mayweather shutout. Mayweather would slip and dodge punches all day and run from Margarito to keep him from unloading on him. Easy win.

Cotto fought like a waterdowned version of Floyd, and went to the 11th round. I think Floyd would win rather easily but in a snoozer. Cotto was not quick enough on his feet and lacks the upper body movement/quickness that Floyd have nor the fast hands that Floyd have to snipe in and slips out of the range from his opponents.

I think Mayweather would win a wide UD. 9-3 type of score.

He would do to Margo what Cotto did for the first 6 rounds, just at a higher level and for the whole fight.

I doubt that this fight will be made.

Doesn't really matter because there is NO WAY in hell PBF will fight him. If he did, he'd suffer his first loss. Period.

Floyd could not hurt Margarito and would not be able to run the entire fight. I would LOVE to see this fight as it would be with the only guy I can see beating Floyd. But, again, I don't think it ever happens.

Man you are blind or something.

Look Cotto won 4 of the first 5 rounds, but he lost a little bit every round. Margarito was finding him. More and more as the fight went on he found him.

Now you probably think in hindsight Mayweather is much better than Cotto, but the fact is prior to this fight Cotto was seen as being very close to Mayweather in technical ability. We all know what bull**** hindsight is.

You are not gonna keep Margarito off of you unless you run or hurt him. Cotto tried to hurt him and it didn't work. Cotto then just tried to box and move and that didn't work either. Now maybe Mayweather is a little bit better than Cotto. But that noway means he wins easily. Maybe he does win, but not easily.

As far as I'm concerned he wouldn't take the abuse Cotto took. And he'd drop a UD loss to Margarito as a result because no judge is gonna award a win to a guy who runs all night.
