Roy Jones Jr. moves up and challenges the 1982 version of Larry Holmes. What is the outcome.

I believe that Holmes would stop him..
I doubt that Jones would be able to beat an elite HW..

Can't see him taking it. I randomly watched Jones-Ruiz last night and Ruiz's limitations were painfully evident- a tough but one dimensional guy. I see an '82 Holmes putting Roy on the back foot with his punching power and snapping the jab. I think Roy would have enough about him to stay away from Holmes bombs and shoe shine a couple of rounds but in the end surive to a 111-117 or 110-118 loss. I don't think he gets knocked out though, ''glass jaw' or not, Jones was so elusive in and around his physical prime.

    Holmes.

More fair to match RJJ up with the 85-86 Holmes that Spinks faced.

first off, spinks didn't deserve the decision over the '85 version of holmes in the first fight. holmes didn't have the greatest movement at this point but still had a hell of a jab. jones' speed would give holmes fits and jones would be a live underdog in this fight but it's hard to pick against holmes here.
