Tony Pep is listed at 6'1 1/2. He's lost to Floyd Mayweather, Tony Lopez, Justin Juuko, and Ricky Hatton...all 5'8 or less.

Chris Byrd is listed at 6', with a 74" reach, and usually boxed around the 210-215 range. He has wins over 6'7, 80" reach Vitali Klitschko (244 lbs), Ross Purrity (6'3, 80", 247), Mike Rouse (6'7, 255), Maurice Harris (6'4, 80"), Jameel McCline (6'6, 82", 270), and Davarryl Williamson (6'4, 80"). He also drew with Andrew Golota (6'4, 79", 237).

Marciano's 67" reach stands out to me. Combine that with being short, light, hardly any amatuer experience, not turning pro till 24 years old, and going 49-0 and you've got a better script for a movie than the whole Rocky Balboa series.

James Toney has beat, or fought on very close terms, with a lot of taller guys with longer reaches in recent years.

James Toney is listed at 5'10, 72", and apparently he's really not that tall. I'm 5'10 and my trainer told me that I'm clearly taller than Toney.

    Vassily Jirov: 6'2, 74"
    Evander Holyfield: 6'2, 78"
    Rydell Booker: 6'3, 81"
    John Ruiz: 6'2, 78"
    Dominick Guinn: 6'3, 78"
    Hasim Rahman: 6'2 1/2, 82"
    Sam Peter: 6' 1/2, 77"

Roberto Duran, listed at 5'7 with a 66" reach, owns wins over:

    Ray Leonard: 5'10, 74"
    Iran Barkley: 6'1, 74"

Jack Dempsey, 6'1 with a 77" reach, defeated:

    Fred Fulton: 6'6, 84"
    Carl Morris: 6'4
    Jess Willard: 6'6, 83"

Sam Langford, who started out well below heavyweight (welter I think), was listed at 5'8 with a 72" reach. He has wins over:

    Gunboat Smith: 6'2, 72"
    Jeff Clark: 5'11, 79"
    Al Kubiak: 6'1
    George Godfrey: 6'3, 79"
    Bill Tate: 6'6 1/2
    Bearcat Wright: 6'1
    Tut Jackson: 6' 1/2, 80"
    Sam McVea: 5'10 1/2
Harry Wills: 6'2 (although Sam's record against Willis overall was very poor)

Miguel Cotto is a rather short and stocky guy. He's fought at some disadvantages, at 5'7 with a 67" reach.

    Shane Mosley: 5'9, 74"
    Carlos Quintana: 5'9, 72"
    Randall Bailey: 5'9, 70"
    Kelson Pinto: 5'10 1/2
    Carlos Maussa: 5'10 1/2, 73"
    Cesar Bazan: 5'11, 75"

Ricky Hatton is listed at 5'7 1/2 on boxrec with a reach of 65", but he's probably closer to 5'6. Some of his wins:

    Carlos Maussa: 5'10 1/2, 73"
    Juan Lazcano: 5'9, 72"
    Tony Pep: 6'1 1/2
    Luis Collazo: 5'9, 72"
    Carlos Vilches: 5'9, 71"
    Ben Tackie: 5'9, 71"
    Freddie Pendelton: 5'8, 72"
