Outrageous Analysis of the Adamek vs. Bell fight.

That's the part that makes it seem so strange that people are getting all bent out of shape about this. I know Bell's supposed to be a big puncher, but Adamek's jaw has never really been in question; and he took and shrugged off some of Bell's power; and for the most part he was doing a damn fine job avoiding it - and without expending energy with superfluous movement. The likelihood of a stoppage was extremely slim, and grew even more so as Bell's confidence declined. He was getting embarassed. It actually makes perfect sense from his POV - you could see the look of self-disgust in the corner, he was sick of getting embarassed in there. It's just the bloodthirsty idiot fans that insist on seeing someone go out on points or their shield that have a problem with this. By the end of the 7th round, Adamek had all but officially won the fight. Bell just sped up a foregone conclusion and actually retained some dignity by sparing himself the embarassment of chasing a white whale KO for five rounds and possibly risking growing gassed, punched-out and vulnerable himself.
