Floyd isnt a pure boxer. Ducking below the waist in defence in every fight isnt pure. I would say the recemtly retired Erik Morales was more pure text book for a start

    Good one.

Zslot Erdei for that matter aswell.
If anything he is a very good textbook boxer even if he lacks in other departments.

Id have to say Calderon and Mijaries get my vote for the known fighter.

There are quite a few guys down at the lower weights that need to be mentioned but they dont get a lot of airtime and most no little about them. Me included.

    Lorenzo Parra
    Yan Barthelemy
    Omar Navarez
    Eagle Den Junlaphan

    Are all very good boxers.

Cotto is a puncher not a boxer , the dead give away would be that he plants his feet more often then a pure boxer does.

Dude you this is so ridiculous to say. Cotto is a boxer who happens to hit very hard to the body, and does so frequently. He plants his feet....so he's not a boxer :patsch slap yourself!

mosley has all the attributes to be a pure boxer, he had good amateur boxing career, he is quick, smart in the ring, and posesses power. i think he can be a great pure boxer but has not been in a situation where he has to be. maybe we will se it against judah.

no slap your self , cotto spend more time digging his feet into the canvas to gain leverage on his punches , and he commits to his punches more ..

Boxer don't dig there feet nor do they fully comet to there punchers and puncher do, and based on your silly as response I d say your a kid and don't know any better anyway, and haven't study the game long enough to know the difference.
    so don't be a ******* and consider this a lesson .

Thats a narrow way of looking at it.
You can have your feet solidly planted and be a great boxer.

    Toney
    Locche
    Pep
    Azumah Nelson
    Benitez
    Even Money

They all often stand in the same spot using head and torso movement to slip punches, and their guard to block them. Whilst being in a strong position to counter with something harder.

    Cotto has great skills.
