Which is thanks to Floyd Mayweathers natural talent and the fact that he fights conservitivly.

Are Roy Jones and Ali better pure boxers than Marquez or is Spinks or Calzaghe because they do not have marked up faces after fights?

How much you get hit does not determine how good a pure boxer you are. Technique and punching form do, as well as technical footwork and defence.

Floyd could not get away with a lot of what he does, if he did not have the reflex's.

Actually Floyd and Marquez have a similar defensive flaw in that they move back in straight lines with their hands down and chins up, it is just that Floyd can get away with it due to the fact he has great relflex's.

You'd say I'm a kid and don't know any better????

So what does a boxer do, if he isn't allowed to get leverage on his punches? :huh

Cotto is very aggressive, more a swarmer in that regard, but his skills are great. I think he's a good mention here. Did Gomez even hit him in those 6 rounds? Gomez may be a second-rater, but the astonishing ease in which he took him apart was impressive nonetheless.

Ali and Roy relied more on there physical tributes speed and reflexes .. Floyd, though blessed with Speed and reflexes has a solid base of boxing skill , in his case speed is a bonus that complements his skill. Floyd Sr and Roger come across as students of the game and know that speed, punching power and reflex are bonuses in boxing and not the rule but when combines with well thought fundamental of the game can make for a outstanding fighter. They made sure Floyd new the basic of pure boxing .
