Outside of the top 3 HW's, does this era have the best ever HW's outside the elite?

My fault, just read the question and didn't look at your actual post... today's heavies obviously are not the greatest... whose gonna remember them after next year?

  3. Cooper has been tested? He lost all of his tests in making up his 14 deafeats he also lost against Amos Johnson, Roger Rischer, Zora Folley, Erich Schoppner, Joe Erskine, Ingemar Johansson, Joe Bygraves, Peter Bates, Joe Erskine, Uber Bacilieri outside of his defeats against eleite fighets, why is Cooper considered a great challenger? Please someone enlighten me, I really want to know?

  4. I don't know.......but for some strange reason Cooper with his 14 defeats and no boxing abilty apart from his natural scrapping instincts is considered an all time unlucky loser in World title fights. :conf

This is what always happened in a Tyson fight.
    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKfNR7g46ck[/ame]

And we all know it, he didn't have the fighting skills, so he was dragged kicking and screaming to the potting shed. Check out 5.30 on the clip, oh, that is a vicous Tyson fight if ever there was one.

I think you're kidding or I hope so. i don't know enough about pulev pajkic platov chisora paineta or bosytov to lable them, but the rest are not impressive as far as comprising a group of 'contenders' or even 'gatekeepers'.
Adamek has done well to beat a couple other decent hw's tho he just struggled with a contender left over from the 90's and his best win is over arreola a guy who has never beaten anybody of note. adamek is a game solid fighter but has size and defense issues.

chagaev showed solid ability a couple of times, is done as top contender and wasn't special in anyway.
Povetkin is one of the best you mentioned, good size, great work rate, good chin, good win over another of the top guys u mentioned chambers, but he apparently has some confidence issues but could prob rise to contender/near contender status even in a good era (which this is not).
Valuev is a bum who happens to be 7 feet and 300 lbs but has enough box ability (not too much) and decent enough chin that he would at least be gatekepper status in a good era.
I like thompson and he's one of the better mentioned and with some additonal skills he could be contender level possibly in other eras.
Peter's claim to fame is a flash kd or two vs wlad and beating up a smw legend of the mid 90's who happend to balloon up to hw by 2007 (and arguably beat peter the first time) and beating a brittle left over from the 1990's (maskaev). he'd be lucky to be gatekeeper at other times.
Arreola best feats are beating chazz witherspoon and climbing off the canvas to beat travis walker. enough said.
JCG is done as even a contender in this era or at least looked bad enough to say that vs vitaly. He was good, but too late.
Johnson, c'mon...good ability but no heart, doesn't sit on his punches, and his best win is over 41 year old bruce seldon who decided to collapse in round 2 from a jab.
Guinn another guy who has looked decent at times and then inexplicably bad other times, i like him but doesn't transcend this weak era.
Mormec, c'mon guys a 40 yr old former cruiser who aint' done **** at hw.
    Austin's a bum (sorry).
Estrada's a feather fisted fat cruiser who can't hang with any of the aforementioned and wouldn't be dumb enough to fight any contender from a good era.
Solis: looks like he has the potential to be legit, need to see more.
Chambers: one of the better mentioned, good skills, heart, gets hit a little much, smallish, but could well be a contender in other eras
Ibrag: "average joe" but solid overall ability but does nothing exeptionally well and would too be fortunate to be considered gatekeeper in other eras................................................................................................

I guess if your point is that there are a lot of c to b- heavyweights around, you may have some validity

    :rofl:rofl:rofl

i know you have to get up early for school tomorrow so

how does hey fit the 3 elite when he has 4 fights at heavyweight?
and against very old or 1 that was really a cruiser but fought 10 pounds over his limit so it became a heavyweight fight
so he really has 3 fights

I should explain. There are only two reasons for someone to have "Kevin McBride" as their screen name at a boxing forum. 1. It's their actual name 2. They are a troll.

If they make ludicrous statements, you've got to go with two as the assumption.

I forgot a number of others (like Shannon Briggs) but, the main point: A number of these guys would be the favorites over the Klits...
