with your favourite fighters, does it matter to you how they act outside of the octagon? i imagine i'm in the minority here, but it does make a difference as far as i'm concerned. thats pretty obvious when i say that my favourite fighters are rich franklin, cro cop and GSP. i couldn't really like someone such as koshcheck even if he was a great fighter. do you not give a **** what kind of person they are just as long as they are exciting and successful fighters?
To a certain extent no; it's certainly less-likely for it to make me dislike somebody than cheer for them.
Favorite as in who do I want to win in any particular matchup maybe but it makes no difference on who I want to see fight. Also, Koscheck certainly gets a bad wrap. I mean, do you really think what TUF shows you or what some countdown shows you is Josh Koscheck outside of the octagon?
your favourite fighter in the same way you may have favourite band. so no matter who this fighter's opponent is, you always go for him.
i feel that im there to watch warriors do battle not take a class in sociology.. nick diaz is the perfect example for me.. ****ing hate the guy but am completely entranced when he fights..

I am just the opposite, I respect all fighters but I dislike very few of them. The ones I don't like are ALL because of their outside the ring (and sometimes inside) exploits/interviews. I don't see how people can NOT take personality into account. I think saying otherwise is just an excuse because you don't want to admit that you like/agree with the fighters attitude.
In boxing though I'd say theres a stronger tendacey for the "douches" to be the most talented exciting fighters. In MMA its much more of a mix and if anything its the US wrestling jocks who come across the worst yet tend to have the duller fights.
