And it's not gonna happen either. Ever. Wlad is clearly aging while Fury is entering his prime. A rematch would be about as lop-sided or worse and Wlad as well as his management are well aware of that. Wlad could choose to cash out one last time but I think he is too rich and too proud to take another assured loss.

He is gonna step back from the rematch clause. I'm calling it.

Loeffler said yesterday that venue and date should be announced soon.

That would be a very stupid thing to do. Not only will the rematch make many millions, he has very little to lose also.
He already lost his belts, his chance for the record and he's the slight favorite in the rematch.

Not a single relevant bookie has Wlad as a favourite:

It should be a dark match like at the end of rocky 3. Does anyone actually want to see it? I get it, the fight needs to happen but does anyone want to sit through it?

He can't really physically get hurt by Fury as he is feather fisted. I am sure that's not their biggest concern.

No the biggest concern is for him to get humiliated again

Exactly. But then again not taking the rematch might be an even bigger humiliation. I'm thinking Wlad would be nuts to forego another massive payday for himself and his entire team.

Or maybe he just had enough of boxing?

Wlad always said if he never had one of these 2 things he would stop

    motivation

    health

as of right now it could be both but im leaning more to motivation

Then why are both Loeffler and (!) Peter Fury saying fight is going ahead and announcement is to come soon? All this speculating doesn't really make sense does it. Anyone can have opinions but I'll go with guys like Loeffler and Peter Fury.

    I don't know.
Often the fighters who can't put you away with one punch are more likely to give a damaging sustained beating.

ffs...Lamotta and Robinson fought only a few weeks after their fights together....does it really have to be this difficult?
