Over/Under 1.2 million buys for Pacquiao/Cotto??

Pacquiao-Hatton does 825K, but Pacquiao-Cotto is supposed to do worse than that? It will get one million buys easily.

 

HAtton is a big name though. Cotto is not that big yet. This could be the fight that does it for him though.

We're talking about PPV figures in America. Was Hatton that much of a draw in the States, even surpassing Cotto in popularity? The Filipino, Puerto Rican, and the Latino demographics in the US should attract large buy rates.

This fight will do over a million buys. I think the fight will do good numbers. Visiting stars might have to be included in their 24/7 of this fight. They both have vanilla personalities because they don't speak good english, but I bet both are very funny and personable in their native tongue.

Is anyone picking over 1.2 buys because they actually believe it or because they want to compete with Mayweather? If this fight does 1M or more buys then I'm going to say boxing is really gaining in popularity because the vast majority of fantastic PPV fights (outside of ODLH) never even come close to that number.

 

I guess it comes down to how many P.R. will watch compared to how many British fans watched Manny pound Hatton. Based on that I dont think It will do better than Pac Hatton unfortunately.:bbb

Dude, the American public only cares if it's an AMERICAN fighting, neither Pac/Cotto ARE AMERICAN, so the PPV # will not even reach 1 million!

 

It's funny how a couple of moths ago people ridiculed the PBF-Marquez fight and were saying Cotto-Pac was going to crush it in terms of PPV sales.

Surprisingly (also to me) it turns out Floyd really is the cash cow and in all honesty I don't see Cotto-Pac doing better PPV numbers.

 

I don't see much marketing behind this fight. I remember seeing billboards and movie posters for PBF-JMM. Also, PBF went on talk shows and so fort. I don't think PAC-COTTO has the same flatform to sell their PPV. If it reach over 1 million buys, then I would consider PAC-COTTO more of a success than PBF-JMM mainly because of the lack of effort to market the fight.
