lol thats like saying if 50 cent mixtape drops 500 and rick ross drops a album and does 500 its a better success then 50s because 50 is more famous....lol no it just did the same and I expect 2 megas stars to do more then what 1 mega star does but dosent matter its there success and not ours
Mayweather/marquez surprised everyone with the numbers it did. I strongly believe it is a little early to base a prediction on this. It all depends how they market and promote this fight in the coming months. It will be close, but i would have to say as it stands Mayweather is the PPV king. Sucks because most casual fans will miss a blood and guts war between Pac/Cotto.
Umm, no, that's actually what hardcore boxing fans would logically do. And when was a 1 million+ ppv's-selling fight ever driven by hardcore fans? I'd be surprised if this does more than a million.
No that is not like 50 cent drops an album. I am talking about MARKETING not popularity. It's a known fact that they spent 20 million to market PBF-JMM. So far, PAC-COTTO does not have the same marketing budget or even the talk show medium to market their fight. Therefore, If the numbers come close to PBF-JMM, then it is arguable that PAC-COTTO is a more successful than PBF-JMM because their revenue would be higher because of less marketing cost. When you factor in than both are not American, I think they can be both labeled as sucess. What do you mean 1 and 2 megastars? are you claiming that JMM is not a megastar and PAC-COTTO should do more because both are megastars?
I figured it was only a matter of time before some stupid flip called PBF "Fraud" and a "runner". You have a pretty face, stick to beauty therapy. How can you possibly say that due to legions of Flip pac supporters the PPV's will shoot right up. Out of all the flip friends I have, flips I know, and my GF's family (yes shes a flip), none of them are paying customers, they NEVER EVER buy a Pac fight, even though they think he is Jesus. Flips do not buy PPV's.
As Boxing fans we need to cross our fingers and hope that it does 1 million+...anytime you have two of the best 10 to 15 fighters fighting it should do well on PPV. I hope it does 1.5 million that would show that boxing is strong enough to have back to back PPV's that do well. BUT in the real world I dont think that it will do as well, I think that Many of the people that would have got this one wont because they just dropped that money on the Floyd vs JMM fight. Those are the casual fans, us diehards will normally get them all:good Hoping for 1.5 Betting on 850K
