If they will show the fight in the cinemas like they did with Floyd vs. JMM fight, then they can crack 1.2M buys.

I don't think it'll be all that ... I think that Pacquiao vs Cotto will do atleast 750k buys ... it just doesn't seem like Pac can produce many buys ... and we all know that Cotto isn't a PPV guy yet. His biggest fight was against Margarito 500k buys ... and Pacquiao's biggest was against DLH 850+ buys ... I don't think they would do all that well together.

The 24/7 isn't going to help either because Cotto's team doesn't speak english and Pacquiao's team doesn't speak english well ... the fighters don't presenet big english speaking personalities ... I don't see this fight doing 1m buys.

    Close to 1 million

Top Rank doesn't poor out the same kind of $$$ to promote the fight like GBP did for Mayweather...

    There's a big difference there..

2 reasons Mayweather-MArquez did so well 1. Mayweather 2. Loads of Promotion/Advertising. This fight has neither and wont do as well

Just out of curiosity get me some Mayweather numbers aside from his DLH and Hatton fights and compare them to Cotto's numbers. Also I believe there is a guy in Mannys team known as Freddie Roach who loves the interviews and speaking with the media, which knows a lot of English:D. Cotto and Manny also speak English, not as well but enough in which you could understand. Since weight is also a topic I bet Cottos nutrionist will play a role in the 24/7, he also speaks English. Bob Arum represents both and is not shy, he also knows English. I dont believe English would be a problem, these guys are doing interviews all over the place including in ESPN. So as you see thats why I dont believe the language barrier is going to be a problem. Lets not forget this is boxing not the NFL, its a world sport.

This is stupid. This has nothing to do with boxing. We all know neither Paquiao or Cotto will never get the american media publicity that Floyd gets and ODLH used to get. WHY???? Because even Cotto being an american citizen, he doesn't represent any of the states. Floyd and ODLH were USA olympians. This is matter of publicity, not boxing. Is Manny/Miguel a better match than Floyd/Juan?????? YES!!!!! By a mile!!!!

1.3 is my prediction, I think it does that. Cotto has a bigger fan base then Hatton in the US and he got very good ratings on HBO this year.
