So you call the card shitty because you don't understand it? That is a you problem, not a UFC problem. Learn about fighting; not boxing, but all types of fighting, fighting where are almost no limitations on what you can do to your opponent, fighting that is actually full on fighting, not just fighting with your hands.
I think he was just out on his feet after the first knock down. He wasn't KO'd by that last shot, he was fully conscious and had just had enough, essentially tapping out.
Well, there could be something wrong with Forrest, God know this guy has fought hurt before but what you have to think is how would a 100% Forrest fare as compared to the 80%(hypothetically) tonight? I think the answer is he might have taken a worse beating because Silva wouldnt toy with him as much. Silva did the unthinkable tonight, he played with a dangerous opponent and gave him a couple of chances to get into the fight. God, Id hate to see Silva focused and serious out there.
Trying to get into the sport more, but overall it wasnt a very good card. The Penn Fight was the only good fight. The Silva fight was a bit of a disappointment because Forrest seemed to quit to me. Then the early stopage was bogus to me.
I respect all martial arts. I respect them and although I know there is alot of skill used it's still boring when they roll on the floor with each other.... most people would rather see them stand up and hit each other. So that is a UFC problem when customers/potential customers find an important part of there product boring.... not that I pay to watch it when I do.... unless it's live at the O2. From me having alot of street fights I can tell you that there are ALOT of limitations in MMA. Sunmissions don't work in the real world. Boxing has been the best form of street combat for me to use in the real world due to me being so good at boxing and being a very hard puncher (even though I have much martial arts experience) unless when weapons are produced.... in that case another martial art I have experience in is what I would normally use. This martial art (which has some elements of Jui jitsu in it) wouldn't even be allowed to be used inside a cage, and rightly so as it's all about instant death, and extreme disability moves. So you are talking to the wrong guy here pal. Just so everyone knows I'm not a trouble maker, but when I was younger I just used to hang around in the wrong places.
Jesus christ, just shutup. Seriously. It wasnt a great card. Thats the bottom line. It was a very predictable card. You dont have to go and act like an elitist idiot because someone is stating his opinion. Grow up. Fans like you are what gives MMA a bad reputation.
Dont mind Beebs, he says alot of stupid things and he has these weird fantasies about MMA fighters ruling the world.
He said, and I quote "but I suppose UFC has too much grappling on the floor for me to fully appreciate it" I simply told him that is a him problem, not a UFC problem. Somebody who says that too much grappling makes a card "****" is clearly just not an MMA fan; so like I said, thats a him problem, not a UFC 101 problem. He didn't say that the first few fights were slow, he didn't say the card was predictable, he didnt say "it wasn't a great card" He said it was **** because there was too much grappling. And now he tells me he is too deadly for a cage. A really beauty.
Most UFC cards suck **** unless you like watching two bums throwing hay makers with no skill, the fans don't know what a good fight looks like so they cream their shorts at anything even a jab knocking out a no chin bum. Even saying the fights were boring you will get these nut hugers saying bull**** like "You don't understand it, it wasn't boring" Yeah ****ing right. Watching two sweaty dudes tea bagging each other isn't entertaining unless you fight for the pink team.
