I know there are alot of bad decicions made in big boxing fights every year, And some are right on the money of course, i mean judges cant be perfect, but sometimes they seem to judge the fight on different stuff that dosent really matter, and sometimes they just give the fight to the favorite, or politics is involved in it,

But overall, are you dissapointed with the boxing judges today ?

I thought they were right on the money on Bhop-Cal except that woman who should be fired.

many people there ringside scoring the fight thought that too. BBC & German television being some international sources that felt that score was just. do i think that Joe won? yeah, but it was a close and extremely difficult fight to score. what that woman did wasn't a ****in robbery by any means. lay that **** to rest

It was a close fight but the rounds won & lost were clear. It was clear Joe was loosing the first half of the fight, and very clear he was winning the last half. Just look at Hopkins trying everything to stall the fight, he was a goner. Hopkins won 5 rounds at most.

I don't think it's so black and white. The point remains though, many people ringside (and are not 'biased Americans') had that score too. So it's a bit much for you to be calling for her head when many felt that was a reasonable score. In the end I think the judges got it right though.

I thought it was in poor taste to have Hopkins little sister judging the
    fight last Saturday.

Yes. There seems to be a robbery every few weeks. I only have to think back to last month, when Spinks got robbed against Phillips

I'm with the consensus, its the same as its always been.

Judges are either one of two things, they're bought off, or they're heavily influenced by the crowd and or consensus favorite.

.....its why Casamayor was giftwrapped the decision against Santa Cruz (exactly, who the hell is Santa Cruz the judges must have noted)
.....and why Juan Manuel Marquez started out with the handicap of needing a KO to come out victorious against Pacquiao, who the media had already matched up with every big name fighter from DLH on down.

......you put that kind of pressure on the judges, and they just cant handle it, they want to bring the people the matchups that the media creates.

    DLH over Sturm???
Please, there is'nt a boxing fan alive that does'nt know exactly why DLH got his hands embarrassingly raised that night!

The sad part is that the media is partly to blame, they only make a stink about a bad decision when ever the hell it pleases them......

Some idiot judge had Christian Mijares losing every round in his last fight......I cant remember any judge turning in a worst scorecard than that ever......yet the fella's at HBO barely gave it a mention.....
.....and we still have'nt heard an explanation from anybody on that scorecard.
Sweeping such bogasity under the table like that is exactly why judges have the audacity to give us more of the same BS time and again!
