UFC 43 has always been a favorite of mine with Couture's debut at 205 lbs. Last year's UFC Brazil was the best event of the year with brutal battles up and down the card.

  2. Yeah too many overhyped fighters with 8 or so fights being portrayed as a top ten or even a top fighter in MMA. In reality these guys arent top fighters, in reality these guys are still new and green.

In boxing its rare to have an inexperienced fighter have top billing. They usually earn their stripes first before being regarded a prized fighter.

Boxing journalists actually question the promoter and the standing of the fighter. In MMA journalists believe the hype themselves along with all the other zombies.

So who's better than, in each weight class, than the UFC Champions

    Dominick Cruz @ 135

    Jose Aldo @ 145

    Frankie Edgar @ 155

    GSP @ 170

    Anderson Silva @ 185

    Jon Jones @ 205

    JDS @ +206

I want you to name at least 3 guys who are better than each of the UFC Champions in their respective weight class

    Fedor Zombie :)

8 or 10 fights against the best in MMA and at the level they are fighting. Ultra talented fighters with a much better approach than Fedor, Nog, Barnett and CC who generally stayed in their style for their whole career. All those years later and even CCs rear naked against Pat Barry looked worse than a white belt!

In boxing, its rare to have fighters fight the best and if they do then on a consistent basis. Plus boxing is a specialist sport so building a fighter is slightly different.

Who is being hyped that isn't justified? In boxing, the hype train gets derailed. In MMA, the hype train doesn't get derailed because the fighter doesn't lose to a noone i.e. Brock never was a hype train, he just lost to beasts.
