Overall has SMW been a tougher division than LHW for quite a while now?

LHW is a decent division, but they lack consistent big fights that happen at SMW thanks to a deeper talent pool and the Super Six. It's still better than most of divisions below it and every division above it though.

Quit bumping your dog**** threads. No one cares about your shitty campaign to puff Great Britain's lackluster boxing scene. Dawson will make easy work of Froch or any other Euro bums you can dig up.

    Thankyou Professor.
Always an honour when an educated gentleman like yourself, who can back up threads with irrefutable scientific facts, appreciates the posts of a humble person like myself :happy
Look on Robert . You see Robert, you make dog sh#t posts, Headbanger makes tremendous, brilliant accurate posts.

True, but personally, I think ALL of the divisions are weaker than they were 20 years ago. Especially the higher weights.
Although, The lighter weights are as strong as they have ever been.

SMW was stronger in the late '90's/early 00's, and since about 2005. About 2001 - 2005, LHW was stronger, IMO. Look at the guys Calzaghe, Kessler and Lacy actually beat to clean out the division. The very top was strong, but the rest of the division was kinda ****.

What are you going on about? Im talking about over a good 10+ years, not just over 2 years. Read the first page, its not about the best fighting each other. They do at LHW when you consider Pascal/Dawson, Pascal/Hopkins, Hopkins/Dawson and soon to have Erdei/Cloud. So what are you going on about. Im saying that the SMW division has shown itself overall to be tougher than LHW over the years

You note Calzaghe but Calzaghe beat -
Starie who beat Woods who became a LHW champ
Sheika who beat Johnson who became a LHW champ
Veit who beat Braehmer who became a LHW champ

Woods and Johnson were world champs in that 2001 - 2005 period with Johnson being the dominant LHW at one point

Go back a few more years and remember how S R Leonard won the new SMW title by beating WBC LHW champ LaLonde
