These are divisions that are often overlooked. Ricardo Lopez was underrated for some years but compared to his peers at these weights he certainly gets more accolades and attention, which makes him a bit overrated in comparison. H2H and on resume who are the best you have seen 112 and under? Where do guys like Zapata, Chang, Yuh, Accavallo, Lynch, Ohba, et al sit compared to Lopez and others? Would they be cracking your top 100?
Jimmy Wilde probably ranks highest based on what he was able to do at his size. Among fighters who campaigned mostly against other Flyweights Miguel Canto ranks highest in my book for his longevity, level of competition, consistency, and skill level.
Pea, Ive got Wilde about 16 on my alltime list and I put Canto in at 66. Whats the reasonabality of that in you opinion? Was also thinking of putting Lopez in about 70-75 region. (I know reasonability is not a real world but it should be)
I have Wilde in the mid 20's, with Canto probably in the same region you have him, but that's P4P, rather than simply at Flyweight, based on Wilde's achievements against consistently larger fighters. Not so sure if I'd place Lopez that highly to be honest with you. I'm at a loss for where to put him.
Im finding it harder then I thought to put together a 100. The first 50 wasnt to difficult..as I had already mostly done it a few years ago but the next 50 is all over the place..Im moving people, taking people out, putting them back in, even then it doesnt look right.
after you get past about 30 it's mostly just tiny margins that seperate the fighters anyway imo.i wouldnt get too hung up on exact order
