OVERALL: Who has a better chin, Usyk or Mayweather?

Usyk by far. Usyk takes on his biggest challenges without hesitation and right in their backyards. CLEARLY isn’t trying to hide that chin against the hardest hitters. With floyd… you always got the impression he was staying away from his most dangerous challengers while in their primes. He clearly didn’t want that chin checked by prime Pacquiao.

It's Usyk because he actually fought much bigger opponents and took their shots.
Mayweather was often bigger than his opponents and at best around the same size. Conor was bigger but that was his first pro boxing match so it doesn't exactly count, and he's not that much bigger either. He used to fight at 145lb or some such.

 

The best chin is the one that does not get hit.

 

If you watch round 2 of Mayweather vs Mosley, Floyd was caught with more than 1 punch, in fact he was caught with. 2 hayemakers.

 

Mayweather had a good chin p4p, no doubt. Although he didn’t get hit flush often, and when hit, he’d manage to roll with it.

Usyk has an amazing chin. There’s the “how durable is his midsection” issue, but chin? Evidence suggests it’s about as good as it gets, up there with the usual mentions for it. To give up as much size as he often does, get cracked by guys like AJ, and never seem like any of it phases him?

This is kind of why the fight id want to see for him is Kabayel. More of a danger to him than anyone else. Unless it’s the night that Father Time finally comes for Usyk, Parker isn’t beating him. And he already outclassed Dubois.
