I'm not sure if Bivol has the better jab although I did vote for him. I do know that, in the traditional sense, Bivol uses his to greater effect. His jab is used both a range finder and to keep his opponents at a distance and Bivol does both very well. Bud uses his offensively, in an of itself, and to set up harder shots. Between the two men they show why a great jab can do so much for a boxer's chances of being successful.
Really hard to compare elite jabs like this - they are used for different things. I think Bivol does more with his jab alone, so would vote for him if forced to vote.... but prefer to abstain.
Bivol He uses it more It's an excellent fencing tool also and sets up his right hand nicely. His feet work - the bounce especially - is also a thing of beauty. Bud's is usually a counter jab but his offence is superior. Everything seems to be set up to hurt someone and make them ultra hesitant. He is very spiteful. They are both used completely differently
