Both Bivol and Crawford have been in the witness protection program for a while. Bivol is hoping that Beterbiev dies of old age and Crawford is hoping for another car accident for Spence before making any commitments.

Bivol’s has better fundamentals as a boxer whereas Crawford is the more athletically gifted boxer. The real question is who is the better boxer between Erroll Spence Jr and Dmitry Bivol?

Bud has higher ring IQ and he will beat Bivol at any weight P4P

I am not certain about Crawford and the puncher thing but I do feel his opposition when fought them in all 3 divisions have not been at his level. He is very good but as a boxer both Bivol and Spence have better fundamentals so if they were all the same size in order for him to beat Spence or Bivol he would need to pull a Sugar Ray Loeonard on Hearns in their first fight which with all due respect he is not capable of. That’s my view.

His power is respectable as Canelo was not able to walk through it.

Bivol is the better boxer. Crawford's the better fighter.

2 different approaches makes it hard to compare. Bivol trying to win a boxing contest and Crawford trying to win a fight, for me is difference.

Bivol has the Canelo win, that's better than anything on Crawfords resume. I don't put that much weight behind the Canelo win but Crawford resume is quite thin for top wins.

Both haven't faced the best in their divisions. That's probably the best benchmark of how good overall.

Crawford is one of the most mediocre P4P fighters I've seen in recent memory. Isn't he 35 right now ? And hes yet to have a single standout win over an elite name.

I voted Bud cause I enjoy watching him fight more. Bivol might look like the better boxer because he doesn’t get hit as much, but that’s because he is way too content to just get the decision.

Bivol is #4 on the overall plus minus stats, as skillful as Crawford is he doesn't make the top 10, and very surprisingly for me because I have him top 3 P4P and he is one of the most skilled fighters in the game, doesn't feature in the top 10 at all in many categories

Obviously you have to factor in level of competition and size

For example. Loma was smashing the plus minus rating racking up Floyd numbers when he was facing opponents who weren't way bigger and longer than him at 126 and 130 and he's still #3 overall only ranked behind Shakur and Benavidez who are big/huge for their respective weight classes and have fought much worse opposition than him. Size and quality of opposition matters. That's what I'm talking about.

He's stopped everyone he's fought at the weight. He's obviously not a power puncher KO artist like a Beterbiev, The Dosser, Inoue, or your boy Twink but he's a spiteful hitter

His best wins in 39 fights are Porter, Postol and Gamboa and the later was a huge size mismatch. That's a weak resume for someone who holds such a lofty P4P ranking and even more so for a near 40 fight vet

Bivol is generally fighting opponents who weigh a weight class or more than him at LHW and many of his title defences have been against iron-jawed or very durable opponents who either haven't been stopped or have been so very rarely

    Clenelo
    Pascal
    Joe Smith
    Zurdo
    Chilemba
    Salamov
    Richards

The only legitimate power stoppage losses on their records came against the murderous punching prime Krusher (Pascal) and the equally murderous punching Beterbiev (Joe Smith). Chilemba's and Joe Smith's stoppage losses were on injuries

Bivol's not a power puncher but he can punch a bit when he wants to and he hits harder than many think

How is that? Where is the proof?

Bivol slowed Canelo down and made him tentative and run out of ideas. I haven't seen many display that type of ring IQ since Rigondeux finished at 122.

Add Sullivan Barerra as well who was tough, he was dropped 3 times by Ward IIRC but hadn't been stopped until Bivol.

    Purely boxing skill? Bivol.

Crawford arguably is a more well-rounded fighter, however, being a bigger puncher and having the fluid switch-hitting card in his back pocket.
