Anyone know why Overeem hasn't been in strikeforce for so many years?

What brought him back and how the HELL is he sooooo frigggin big:?:?:?

Someone early mentioned somethin on an early thread about him juicing...is there any truth or has that rumour been floating around for awhile, or is it just a hater??

Cant really tell how big he is in the third picture.

Anyone know his weight during his PRIDE years? I think he came in at 240 last night? :huh

Whats the testing like for MMA, Strikeforce and UFC....do they follow the same rules?
Is it anything like Olympic testing

He's been very active in K1 between Strikeforce title defenses. He's also been in a few DREAM MMA events. Basically he's been hanging out in Japan for a few years. :yep

Yeah counting K-1 Overeem fought 13 times inbetween Strikeforce title fights so he was pretty damn active.

I don't mind it, personally. Apparently he takes a lot of flack from American MMA fans on forums like Sherdog and a bunch of other sites; it's really surprising how disliked he is.

He doesn't seem a bad guy, he's fighting mostly good fighters in both sports whether American casual/UFC-and-Strikeforce-only fans know who they are or not, and too much is made of the steroid allegations (and it would be one thing if he simply toppled guys and sat on them with GNP, then you could say he'd be gaining an unfair advantage if the accusations were even true - but he wins with his striking and submission skills - things that steroids don't really improve). :conf

Well in K-1 he fought the toughest guys but in the last several years his MMA competition has been pretty damn weak. Nothing close to the level of fighters he faced many years ago in Pride.

Overeem definitely looks like he's juicing. Its rare to see a natural guy his size look thatbig and yet hard with definition... and in looking at how he was in 07 and the transition to where he is now, you only see that type of growth in bodybuilding circles

State athletic commissions testing protocols are nothing like IOC testing. The IOC has year round unannounced tests that encompass a far greater list of banned substances.

Trust me Overeem is the biggest benefactor of PED usage in the fight game.

He got knocked out by Liddell and Rua back when he was in pride. Just look at his face in the early pics, this dude doesn't need to pop on a **** test, he is the most blatant juicer I have seen in a long time.

Also, steroids don't improve your skills, but damn right they improve the power of your punches. Go watch early videos of him, and then now. The guy is a walking steroid.

Guy's jaw and brow growth alone are better proof than any **** or blood test.

SF had a weak heavyweight roster when he won the title. He was scheduled to fight twice but had to pull out twice in 2009. So first, it was a weak roster and then second he pulled out twice. Thankfully, he seems serious about SF now and says he might fight 2 more times with them this year.

I want to see SF start tying guys up in contract, especially the champions. Champions are the face of the organisation.
