I respect Overeem's ability, and will not be surprised if he wins the tournament. Overeem will jump from 9 or 10 in my current heavyweight ratings to the #2 spot with a win against Werdum.

I think Velasquez can beat him, but wouldn't be shocked if proven wrong. I would only be surprised to see Overeem win a fire fight. I think Overeem either has to totally outclass Cain standing, or win by quick submission. I think Cain makes him fold if it becomes any sort of back and forth slug fest.

I honestly think Overeem would walk through him, but to be fair that's just because I look at Reem and think "how the **** can anyone stand up to that?"

Cain has had trouble in the standup with people like kongo. I'm sure overeem would beat em in a similar fashion as Rogers. I'd love to see it though :happy

i honestly only give probably Dos Santos a shot at Reem right about now out of the UFC heavy's. hes the only one with the Chin (JDS took some pretty good shots from Nelson and Cro Cop) and Power to stand with Reem and even as a huge Cigano fan Reem has really been pretty intimidating lately.

A strong opinion of mine is i really am not that impressed with Cain, hes a jack of all trades master of none in my eyes.

Reem is a front runner with a bully mentality but his K1 record must be taken into consideration. It proves he can take a loss and keep going, it proves he can handle adversity and keep going, it proves he is happy to fight at an elite level and not duck opponents.

Very clever Bujia, to dismiss a fighters skills outright without actual proof of wrongdoing.

Damn, Overeem has a lot of haters for some reason. They better hope he doesnt win the Strikeforce GP, because if he does they will have to terms with their hate... oh wait they can just keep using the steroid accusations no matter what Overeem accomplishes because it will be nullified.

Im sure thats what Zuffa's strategy will be to discredit Overeem, if he were to have major success in the tournament.
