Cormier is a decent replacement, coming off a win over Monson he has some legitimacy. A proper wrestler being involved shakes things up for me. Would rather have had Overeem involves obv.

I think they should be able to spin this to their advantage. Assuming Fedor beats Henderson, give Fedor the shot against Overeem and then have the winner of that fight meet the Grand Prix winner. Now whether they'd be interested in giving Fedor the chance to win the title or whether Overeem wants to stay in Strikeforce is another matter.

Promoters call the shots in boxing, not the fighters. That's a large part of the reason boxing is so ****ed up right now.
:deal Seriously Overeem-Werdum was pretty damn similar to Werdum-Kharitonov, two boring fights where neither wanted to play into the others strengths.
