Was just looking at the odds for this fight next weekend on SkyBet and noticed the odds are well stacked against Werdum. Obviously Overeem is going into this fight the favourite, but with Werdum being offered at 4/1 to win by submission I fancy a flutter :happy
Werdum is as live as they get but Overeem is gonna get brutal but one second of being out of position and Werdums skin will be all over you.
sorry but werdum was on the ground for overeem for like 4 or 5 minutes last time before getting the sub, unless werdums 1000 times better he isnt subbing anyone overeem trains jiu jitsu with einemo who destroyed roger gracie in bjj!!!! and would dominate werdum worse than jacare did in bjj
just cause you are training with someone who is great doesnt make you great by association wedum is superior on the ground but Overeem is by no means a fish out of water once it goes to the floor. I see overeem winning this fight, but as stated before wedum is a live underdog interestinly enough I feel the same way I did a year ago when before fedor fought werdum the outcome seems pretty clear but real danger lurks in the shadows... we know how that turned out:think:? I still think Overeem has a clear advantage in striking and wont be submitted so easily. Werdum is in for some heavy damage win or lose. What a amazing turn for werdum if he comes out of this with another big win! I have been looking forward to this fight for a long time, probably the only MMA fight I have been really excited for since... Fedors last outing!
Im putting some money on Werdum. His submissions are pretty damn good and Overeem can get wild with his punches. I can see a similar scenario to what Werdum did to Fedor. he gets taken down and when Overeem tries to finish him he gets caught with some submition.
