Again, I think boxing has something to learn from gymnastics. In gymnastics you have to start from the fundamentals, there's no other way. So they start the kids off with the most basic movement: walking. Then they do a little bit of basic jumping and tumbling etc. and over a couple of years the complexity of the movements builds up. the progression is almost imperceptible at first, but it's amazing to see how quickly you can build up the complexity once the fundamentals are there. I suppose an analogous approach in boxing would be to see the punch as the final piece of the jigsaw, something to build towards, not the beginning and end.
Biggest ever in boxing history is head movement. Its that simple....if alot of boxers were trained from the start to move there head as punch then it would save alot of boody noses.
