Hatton-Pacquiao, Margarito-Cotto, Vazquez-Lopez, Pavlik-Abraham etc. These are the big wars people demand for next year. But how about naming a few overlooked possibilites - offering just as good excitement as the biggest match-ups!

    Just name a few!

Roman Gonzalez vs. Ulises Solis: explosive LFlyW fight
Rafael Concepcion vs. Alexander Munoz: who can punch himself back to the SFlyW elite?
Rafael Marquez vs. Johnny Gonzalez: guaranteed slugfest, trilogy warning!!!
Humberto Soto vs. Urbano Antillon: who’s the best warrior at SFW?
Juan Diaz vs. Amir Khan: just think about it - perfect match. 2 all-out warriors, one with a good punch and a bad chin, the other with busy hands but an average punch. 12 round, 2000 punch war
Edwin Valero vs. Breidis Prescott: it’d be short... VERY short. But who said a short fight can't be good?
Ali Funeka vs. Antonio Pitalua: under the radar war vs. hard-hitting LWs
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. vs. John Duddy: forget about world titles, forget about defense, it’s all about giving the fans some action
Librado Andrade vs. Sakio Bika: heart vs. heart - both deserve a big win, and this is the big fight
Hugo Garay vs. Glen Johnson: terrific stlye match-up
Alexander Dimitrenko vs. Chris Arreola: punish the mistakes with hard punches! There IS excitement at HW, just you have to find it

    Your turn! :thumbsup

I was just thinking about this fight the other day. There is no way it wouldn't be an all out brawl.

Hopefully HBO will pick up... again. This fight was a done deal BTW for the JMM-PacMan undercard this March... but Bika said he need more time after his brutal fight against Codrington. Now they are both ready to fight. If not HBO, Showtime should pick it up.

Wow, I thought we were just imagining fights. Are you guys saying we could end up getting Andrade-Bika?

Ouch - some bones will hurt after that fight. They are both going to get so worked over they will not be able to fight ever again. No, serously, I think it is a great fight for us, but a tough tough fight for them both.

    Bika-Andrade won't happen.

Andrade will fight Tsypko in an IBF Title Eliminator in early 2009 for a shot at Bute.

Bika will most likely fight Allan Green in Feb.09.

Andrade-Bika would be one hell of a fight tho.

Nice list. Katsidis/Prescott, Judah/Torres, Angulo/Kirkland would also be thrillers.

    Good fights but...

LOL you missed the whole point. This thread is about "2nd grade dreamfights", overlooked possibilities.

Ya know Ricardo Torres-Victor Ortiz would be an OUTSTANDING fight. I hope it eventually gets made at some point.

Put the top 10 at SMW in a hat, pick out two and you got a sleeper action fight on your hands.
