Floyd is definitely an ATG. Just not the GOAT. Ranked 20-30 if I had to take a guess.

Carlos Monzon…Gennady Golovkon …And Marvin Hagler are overrated in my opinion…because I feel at some point they should have moved up in weight

...friend there is no sulfur or calcium in sweat lol

There are times when the establishment lies and does evil stuff but this isnt one of those times. Margs fought nothing but cab drivers after Mosley and he had zero - I repeat zero stoppages - while he had like 12 in 14 fights leading up to Mosley fight...

Obviously I mean besides losses to Manny/Cotto when talking about Margs career after Mosley

I never said he wasn't ? You're wondering why people don't warm to Ward and I'm giving you the reasons why.

His 2 biggest wins have major asterisks that annoyed fans not to mention fouling Kessler all night also left a bad taste.

The main point is that his hands were in tatters and he did all that in spite of his injuries, which almost always are career ending.
I also respect your opinion but to retire undefeated with those injuries and against those opponents, doesn’t make him overrated it makes him massively underrated.
This will clearly be one of those instances where we won’t be able to agree and nor do we need to, this is another nuance that makes me love this sport even more.
the endless interpretations of fighters and careers that have equal weight.

This is a pretty hard question to answer because I've seen both underrating and overrating quite a bit.

The only all time great that I would say is overrated is Canelo, as I am sure he will be considered an atg. All of those Shady score cards are the reason.

You make interesting points, even though we disagree.
And well said. We, as fans, are always going to rate some fighters above others. Or even dislike some. And respectful discussion about where we disagree is what makes it all interesting.

You are not taking into account that he would be a cruiserweight (and a small one at that) by modern standards.
I don't compare him with the likes of bigger men such as Ali, Foreman, Holmes, Tyson... and I don't know why others continue to do so.
He had a big punch, condition, (keep in mind this was the 15 round era), chin, and the will to win. He would carry all those qualities against anyone from any era. For his own weight, there would be few that would have a chance at beating him.
