Obviously Floyd thought enough of Margarito to shamelessly avoid him, even when Antonio asked Floyd right to his face why won't he won't sign to fight.

I just mean he would have got him out of there..... he would have won the fight going away.....

just remember how easily miguel was outboxing margarito early in that fight.... would have been a wide wide decision

Cotto 1 was in Vegas where the commission provides you with the wraps, Mosley fight was going to be in Vegas and the commission wanted to test Mosley due to his PED admission, the fight got moved to Cali and Mosley I strongly believe juiced

I think that it would have been near impossible for his trainer to wrap tamper in Vegas and get away with it, I think Tony had trouble making weight and his trainer believed Mosley juiced so he wanted to help him out

He probably was overrated at one point but not now.

And he has good wins over Martinez,Clottey,Cintron twice,Cotto,Antonio Diaz,Andrew Lewis.

Thats not a bad resume for a guy many thinks hes just a cab driver.

Margarito is definitely the most overrated fighter in the last 20 or so years.

    this ^^^^^

and the myth of margarito is only legitimized by beating cotto over the face with plaster gloves

Seriously, Cintron, Lewis? Lightweight Antonio Diaz :huh

I remember Margarito knocked out washed up Lightweight Golden Johnson and people were acting like they just watched Ray Robinson

Theres no proof Margarito has ever cheated, and the 'infamous wraps' from the Mosley fight were found only to contain certain substances that are needed to form plaster of paris.

The fight being hard for Mayweather comes down to Margo's ability to hit Mayweather period which is not a given. If Margo can't accumilate volume on Mayeather then it would be an easy fight. And Mayeather had the speed, quickness, relfexes and technique to avoid being hit period if he made that his game plan. Plus he would see every punch coming from Margo a mile a way. Margo doesn't have those same attributes. Margo would walk in a straight line right into the jab to the body, over hand right, sweeping left hook and then change the angle. Even if he can't hurt Margo he will be more then happy to score pts. If Margo can hit Mayweather though then he thats when all those factors come in, but I don't think he is skilled or fast enough to connect on Mayweather to accumilate the volume needed to win the fight.

The only one who probably thought that is the guy in your avatar.

Who ducked Margarito by saying and i quote "i dont want to fight more mexicans" he then went on and cherrypicked a fighter who was fighting three divisions bellow and the cherrypick backfired and he ended up taking a career ending beating turning him into a crackhead and a transvestite.

No, a ton of boxing fans were all over Margarito's nuts like they just watched Tyson KO Spinks. It was hilarious. Then he loses to almost as overrated Paul Williams

floyd would have NOT come close to getting a stoppage, but he would have won this like 11-1

clottey, cintron 2x, cotto, martinez, and devastating performances against six heads lewis, antonio diaz, golden johnson and sebastian lujan. not the best record of all time but a solid record. I used to b a huge fan of his before the handwraps came into scrutiny

I like how people are now including a 147 lb green Martinez on Margarito's resume.
