Why? Because Cotto lost? Because everyone thought Margo cheated without any concrete proof?

Watch the fight itself. It was the classic example of a stalker versus a boxer. It had build-up. It had the Mexico-PR rivalry. It had everything.

It was definitely one of the top 10 fights of the past ten years, in my book.

I agree with the Margarito part. He was a true warrior, in the sense that he dumped his own promoter to fight under Goosen for that fight.

But Floyd had a good reason to leave from under Arum and take a different fight. Do you realize who he fought instead? He fought Oscar ****ing De La Hoya. No one in their right mind would have done anything differently.

He is a joke, the only thing he has going for him is a solid Chin. Without loaded gloves he is little more than a plodding bum with a Glass Eye.

He ditched the Margarito fight for Baldimor then moved on to Oscar... While Margarito had to look for his moments else where, but the point I am making is Margarito would have been a more respectable win than Baldimor as Margarito is the better fighter.

    Morales-Pac 1
    Marquez-Vazquez trilogy
    JMM-Juan Diaz
    Monshipour-Sitchatchaw
    Miguel Cotto-Ricardo Torres
    Corrales-Castillo 1
    Ward-Gatti 1
    Arce-Hussein
    Casamayor-Katsidis
    Pac-JMM 1
    Maidana-Ortiz
    Dunne-Cordoba
    Martinez-Williams I

    All better fights than Cotto-Margo.

He would have fought Margarito if Arum would agree to work on the Oscar fight right after. Arum said no, so Floyd bought out.

Why the **** wouldn't he? And why wouldn't Arum agree to work on an Oscar fight for millions?

Margarito has always been RIDICULOUSLY overrated. A journeyman who only accomplished anything through a chin and cheating.

I can't believe how duped everyone was by Bob Arum.

Arum and Oscar are like two gay men who had a massive falling out, thats why, Arum and Oscar just cant stand each other thats Arums fault he basically taught Oscar how to do what he does.

Also Floyd wanted guarantees that Arum couldnt give, he wanted Cotto and Hatton of which Hatton was NOT with TOP rank how can Arum guarantee that he can get a Hatton fight under those circumstances?

While these are all good fights, I have to disagree with you. I definitely don't think Maidana-Ortiz or Cotto-Torres are better. My opinion.

I can't "prove" that these aren't the best fights just like you can't "prove" that Margo-Cotto isn't one of them.

Baldomir never cheated. And Baldomir's win over Judah is better than any win Margarito ever had.

And Arum told Floyd that a ten million dollar fights were not a possibility and a fight w/ DLH was out of the question. No wonder Arum's pissed, while Floyd is about to rake in a $50 mill payday.

Exactly. It's Arum's fault for undervaluing Floyd. Not Floyd ducking Margarito because he had no problem with the fight, so long as he got Oscar next. Mayweather made 25 million + for fighting Oscar. Arum saying there wasn't enough guaranteed money in the Oscar fight was clear bull****.

    Arum ****ed that up.

do people realized that if Mayweather ad taken the fight he wouldn't have been able to get out of his contract and fight ODLH
