I think Richardson gave good advice in the early rounds but SSM just couldn't execute. Starting in round 3 SSM was simply outclassed and could not do what was asked of him by Richardson. I really don't see this as a failure by Richardson. Do you really think he would have done any better with any other coach in his corner?

 

I agree, Mayweather is something else. What makes Floyd different than any other fighter and makes it extremely difficult to employ a game-plan against him is the fact that he becomes (as bruce lee would have said) water. He makes adjustments depending on his opponents movements/flaws and habits. He doesn't just go in there and start throwing punch. From the ring of the bell to the end it's a real chess match against Floyd.

 

atsch So pushing 40 is not old for a WW, PBF is probably the # 1 WW in the world and Shane can still handle himself in the ring, but his reflexes and handspeed are NOT close to what they were in his hey-day. That being said PBF kicked his ass quite well but lets not pretend that Father Time had Zero effect on Mosley.

 

He fought bigger punchers then but he was prob still a natural 47 pounder back then. He is not a natural WW no more so that comment hold as much weight as a grain of sand in the middle of I-95
