He doesn't look in all THAT bad shape. He's still overweight, but I doubt he's a natural 220 guy anymore at this age.
Good luck Monte! These overweight, young boxers need to learn respect for what they are supposed to be -- "Professional Athletes". A good beating from a last minute replacement might just be a wake-up call! And if not, he can always find another job. Didn't he see Johnson get harpooned by VK?
Oh my goodness, I just saw the weigh in picture on this page!!! atsch He looks even fatter than I imagined! Small arms (relative to his bulk), rings of fat around his neck, absolutely zero vascularity.... :verysad If boxing doesn't work out, maybe he can be the next King Kong Bundy! :deal
Granted, he could look worse, but he's only 29. Going into a fight that was to be against a top-10 opponent? He's fine above 220, but at least 30lbs too high as is. Promoters are going to start putting BMI conditions on contracts. I actually wouldn't blame them.
I'm really curious now how this fight plays off. Can the overweight fat boy beat the experienced, top-shape veteran? This content is protected
The ****ing orgs should put weight conditions on fighters and have a mandatory fitness test pre-fight. Seriously, that is unhealthy and means he's not in shape for fighting. That's how people get hurt.
Interesting :good Odlanier Solis is a disgrace to weigh in at 271 lbs, I hope Barrett beats him up and takes him out, cause it the only way this guy is going to take boxing serious.
Solis is a disgrace. People part with their time, energy and money to see an overweight athlete. I sincerely hope Barrett turns his lights out.
