Ouch Leon told me already not to say anything negative about Murray with you knowing him quite well & being on this forum.:yep I know all about Murray's promotional history of 50 odd promotions. I must say they have all pretty much come & went without much controversy & media...well done to him for that. His last Fox card in July 08 (maybe his last forever) was the worst i have ever seen televised by Fox unfortunately.:-( He has put on many of the biggest & best matchups in those 53 promotions including errr....Omotoso vs Augustus, Ganoy vs Onikeke, the Australian title double header back in Nov 2000........................................ummm im running out. I have also been told plenty about his training methods from 3 former boxers that trained at the Fighters Factory, so lets just say im not underestimating. I hope Murray can bring the best out of Omotoso, but unfortunately i dont see it happening. Would love to be proven wrong tho as Murray has never led a fighter to any sort of professional international glory but i guess there is always a time to start.:deal
Omotoso is imho the hottest prospect in oz and the most likely to next win a genuine world title. His speed, power, footwork, stamina and defence were poetry against Augustus. From what I saw at the Augustus fight Murray seems to be doing a great job bringing him along and should get credit.
"International GLORY"????? OK half witt... what does that constitude in your mind?? Having a reputation of being scum? Forfeiting a fighters career through sheer stupidity?? Fighting in Tassie?? Not realising a fighters limitations?? Chasing $$$$?? Oyewale will be fine where he is. Yes, you accept that.. well done. Lets play "Wheel of Fortune" Fill in the blanks. 'YOU **** BR_IN' Buy a vowel... Sit back, relax and enjoy the next 18 months as Oyewale proves his own values. In that time, please think hard about the purchase of any vowel...
Not meaning to butt in or take sides here bud, but team Nasser/Mundine arent exactly good grounds for comparison. Australia does have other trainers and promoters....
Hmmmm... No dramas. I was just looking beyond the mono-celled interlect of Spagsy.. Hoping for a good nights sledging to-and-fro. Australia has many fine trainers and promotors. Hence the likes of a great crop making noise in the higher brackets overseas. This is no reflection on, or reason to dismiss the way MT is handling Omotoso. When noise is ready to be made, it's going to be loud... Oyewale and Murray will beat the drum as they wish.
Any pics, updates, training videos etc. that some of you folks down under and specifically with ties to Wale and his camp could provide in this thread would be much appreciated! :good
Really? In particular promoters, care to name them and point out why they are fine? I keep hearing boxing is on it's knees here and that fans are sick of mismatch after mismatch.
