I just stumbled accross this early post from 05 in "My Documents" which was in answer to one of Gavin's Mundine cocksucking efforts.... Makes for interesting reading..... I seem to have calmed down a little since then...:hey Must be the change in medication.... I stumbled upon this post in my docs...which I had saved for some reason...long ago forgotten. It's interesting to compare the change in posting style..... I was a much more aggro OZ back in 05..... Note the absence of emoticons Posted: Mon Aug 08, 2005 7:09 pm I am sick and tired of listening and reading all the bull**** by Mundine and his fawning, dribbling, scrotum sucking little puppydog, Gavin, about Mundine being the greatest sportsman Australia or even the world has ever seen. So lets try and analyse the various achievements of past and present sports heroes in different countries and see how Mundine compares. JEFF WILSON -New Zealand--- Won national secondary school titles in track and field Talented basketballer Double all black- represented his country in both cricket and rugby union before he had reached 20 years of age. Played over 70 games for the all blacks, including over 60 tests. Until recently he held the record (44) for number of tries scored in test matches. CHARLES FRY- England---Played FA Cup Final and represented his country in soccer Held the world long jump record for 20 years Played for the Barbarians in Rugby Union Successfully captained the English Cricket team against Australia and South Africa Holds the record with our own Don Bradman of 6 consecutive centuries in 2 weeks playing for his county. He was invited back to captain the English cricket team at 50 years of age JIM THORPE- United States---Won both the Decathalon and Pentathalon at the Olympics was a successful professional baseballer Played NFL and was voted the Greatest Footballer of the half century REGINALD ( SNOWY ) BAKER- AUSTRALIA Distinguished himself in 26 different sports including athletics, cricket, boxing, rifle shooting, wrestling, football, rowing, tentpegging, polo, swimming, horseriding, rugby, water polo and much more Mundine isn't fit to be a haemmeroid on the arseholes of these great sportsmen Funny..... Mundine has done nothing in the interem to alter my perception....:deal
Did you read Gavin link to the Super Athlete article a few weeks back. In brief it states that it is no surprise some athletes can change in between two or three totally different disciplines and be successful. Mundine was named in this article along with others :deal What has progressed since the early days on ESB is your soft heart. There is no more room for hate, it is all love :deal
Well since that time he schooled the now 175lb world champion, went on to win another 168lb title to become 2 time WBA Champion, continued to promote his own boxing events. So Mundine has done much since then Oz.
Beaten one of the Current word champs ( there are four ) Beat up sam for a plastic belt ( Joe is the real WBA , WBC & WBO Champ ) and continues in his quest in ripping off Australia's loyal boxing public , He has one Backwards imo . :deal
i havent heard snowy bakers name 4 awhile...i read about him when i was young and got my first aussie boxing encyclopaedia/book...i was gobsmacked at the amount of sports he played at a high/elite level...true champion...
How do you feel about him fighting his current LIMITED opposition? A few people have said now that he is making a mockery of the sport of boxing with such defences... What are your thoughts about that?
