Not by Canelo anyway Like you say his chin is and has always been pretty sound , yes he's been knocked out , but the tell tail on his chin for me was Lara , he was hit flush and reasonably often to test it , and it never failed him , and i don't think Canelo boxes as well as Lara in most area's , yes he probably hits a bag or a pad harder than Lara , but his timing and footwork is not as good , Lara is excellent in them areas I like Williams chances all things considered , I'm surprised GB have given him Williams if I'm completely honest
Tough fight for for Alvarez. Fair play to Golden Boy for not feeding him a corpse. I think Canelo will have to work harder than he likes to win this. He shouldn't find Williams too hard to catch though but interesting to see how he handles the pace in the later rounds. And on the rest of the card... Oscar De La Hoya ‏@OscarDeLaHoya @ElizabethMeza this will be on mexican independence weekend and the card will be stacked with Mexican warriors. I'm telling you guys,I'm going to stack this one up for September live at the MGM
No way :nono :happy I always think who will break Gonzalez next? Not sure if Ponce can will himself through it, I envision him getting tagged with a big one more than Ponce breaking Jhonny down.
canelo is pure class in my humble opinion. does everything by the textbook. he'll counter his arse all night. :yep even the 2006 williams would get it off gingernuts. :bbb
I think that Mosley fight seems to be have put him over a bit too much. He certainly wasn't as impressive last year against Magic Hatton, Rhodes and especially Gomez.
I've never really rated Williams. He's a tall man that can't fight tall, has all the physical advantages but doesn't know how to use them. If he hasn't learned to utilise his reach by jabbing effectively by now then I don't think he ever will. I see it as a good fight for Canelo to take
i think his biggest problem is fighting at lmw doesn't look like he can fight at a high pace for 12 rounds at the weight
If Williams can find some of his old spark I give him a chance here. Canelo hasn't really beaten anyone worth a damn and I still think the size and volume of Williams could be a bit much for the Mexican.
He is certainly adept at weight cutting. At the moment. Scotty, agree about Gomez fight. Canelo looked ****ed, quickly.
