I struggle to see how Canelo looks impressive here TBH. He likes to fight at such a lethargic pace and burst into life. Sure he looks good when he does, but its a handful of times per round and he really hasn't fought anyone either good enough or big enough to impose themselves on him, they have to take a back seat and respect his sporadic output.

Williams natural style of wasting his physical attributes does him no harm here, his idea simply has to be to throw as many as possible and hope he can still take Canelo's punches when he inevitably ships them. If they've miscalculated and Williams can still take one its going to be a huge struggle.

Good point T', I did ask whether fighting his usual fight might actually be the right way to go here. Agreed, it's down to Dub's durability and desire to take the shots once Canelo throws.

I think Molina might be the best guy in the division not named Floyd, but I think Williams matches up really well with him. No power, looks to nullify his man and outwork him, not brilliant at anything. I think Williams could outwork him.

Yet I reckon Molina would 'beat' Lara again.

Its the right way to go, if he can take a punch. Which he should be able to, I know he's copped a few over the years but he got cleanly knocked out on one occasion and has taken a few but never a serious consistent ass whooping. Problem is he never takes cuffing punches, he takes the big shots.

Then again, I don't know why we're pondering how Williams should fight as if he's somehow multi-dimensional ;)
