It's very difficult to separate Benn and Eubank. They're a bit of a Barrera-Morales aren't they? I think Benn has the superior resume but I think Eubank was the better fighter, better ability. Benn has the best win of the two (G-Man) but Eubank beat Benn h2h. I like Benn more as a fighter (thrilling) but Eubank more as a man (a great British eccentric! great character). I think I would have to give the edge p4p to Benn on the strength of resume, but ask me tomorrow and I may give you a different answer, it's that close for me.

Winky Wright would definitely be in a top 125, I really like him as a fighter (I have a penchant for a good defence). I rate him around the same level as Mosley, JM Marquez, Tszyu etc. Are you a fan of Winky then?

huge fan, partly cos i followed him early on, remember he had a few fights over here and i was transfixed by his destruction of steve foster years ago. i thought he looked absolutely fantastic. very very clever fighter and with a pretty unique style, although he does remind me a little bit of michael watson, with his hands held so high and arms tucked right in .
yeah love winky, seems a top fella too.

I agree, brilliant brilliant fighter. I must say though I am rather surprised, I would not have had you pegged as a Winky fan at all!!

How do you score the second fight? The consensus at the time was that Benn won. I don't know how much weight you would put on that as against the official result though.

i respect all fighters and particulary ones with something a bit special, unique and he falls into that category .huge fan of mayweathers style as well .
i'm not all about blood & guts, although brawlers do tend to float my boat more than most styles.

There's something wrong with you if you don't love a good brawler!

Have you ever seen the Mayweather-N'Dou fight? I never liked the little **** till I seen that one, now I am a fan of him... as a fighter.

i'd have to say Benn although Eubank had the better ability.benn was just completely fearless, he would have fought anyone. If i was to do a list they would probably be next to eachother. as you know nigel benn's my favourite fighter ever. they have a thing on Nuts tv every night at 9 and it seems to benn every night, ****ing never get tired of watching him fight. superb to watch.
i could wax lyrical about nigel benn all day i think, to the point of going overboard about him.

It's definitely worth a watch. Not only is it surprisingly exciting for a Mayweather fight (even tho PBF is dominant, N'Dou has a big big heart), but it is an absolutely perfect perfect example of brilliant defence and brilliant fighting "in the pocket", as good as Toney v Barkley IMO.

It's probably very crude and offensive to many people to even call this guy a "brawler" as he was one of the most skilled fighters to ever lace up a pair of gloves, but I don't care, my answer is Roberto Duran. He often did just get down n dirty and brawl, and when he did it was nothing short of sen-****ing-sational. He is my favourite fighter of all-time.

Most exciting fighters? Duran, Pacquiao, Benn, Pryor, Arguello, Jones Jr, Hagler, Hearns, Morales, Barrera. Not all of these guys are as exciting to watch as say a Gatti or a Trinidad, but they were the guys I enjoyed watching most.

yeah i'd say duran is the best brawler, but the tag does do him a di-service like you say, he was so much more than that .

ooo thats tough . i'll go....

    Eubank 1 ( which he lost , but a thrilling fight )
    Anthony Logan
    Doug DeWitt

But you could easily throw in the Watson defeat, Barkley and Robbie Sims as replacements. You ?

There's not much in it, but I prefer LaMotta's level of competition.
