Good on you for going to the trouble to make the list, unless someone gets of their arse and bothers to put one out for all to see they really cant get too critical. i think i would have about 6 nervous breakdowns and 30 changes of mind trying to do a top 30 so im saying **** all but well done.

Cool. Do you want to see Floyd v Manny in '09 then, if Manny can beat Hatton 1st? I certainly do. It would be the biggest and best fight since Hagler-Leonard in '87 or Whitaker-Chavez in '93 IMO.

My mistake, I was skim-reading. I think Lennox Lewis is the greatest postwar British fighter. I definitely do.

    Thanks mate :good Much appreciated.

However, I don't believe anyone has to have written their own 100 to comment. If you think I have made any horrible errors or any great calls, please feel free. I only posted the list to open it for debate.

I do and don't. For quite a few reasons.

If Mayweather comes back, he should fight more than just Pacquaio.

And no Pac doesn't need to fight Hatton first. Pac is on top of his game, he can choose whoever he wants.

I know what you mean, I'm just operating under the assumption that a Pac-Hatton fight is definitely happening, because I think it definitely will. Only once Manny annihilates Ricky will both the pressure and the temptation become too much for PBF IMO.

By my list it's Lynch, but really I struggle to make a definitive decision on choosing between him, Calzaghe, Dempsey, Cervantes and Saldivar. Any of those five. At a push, I go Calzaghe.

    No problem:good

To be honest even if I at first glance disagreed with placings(which i dont) I wouldnt feel right commenting on it unless i put my balls on the line doing a list coz that doesnt seem right to me.

But you are right i should give credit coz it was good to see Oscar get a good rating even if he did lose a lot of his "elite" matchups, Coz their aint many he didnt get in with that he could have through his career. Also good to see Tito on it.

I was just about to ask how you saw this one going, but you've pretty much answered it here. No chance for Hatton at all then, you reckon?

What are the qualifications to be on the second tier in your mind...considering this is YOUR list

Resume doesnt impress you?? You've gotta be shitting me! :nut

Oscar DOES NOT! have a better resume than Tito. The Titles he's won are a joke. Oba Carr being a title holder is laughable and VERY beatable. His fat ass (he was a tubby ***** in their fight) robbed Sturm of his title. Ran away from Tito in their fight. It's one thing to cruise and scrape by with the bare minimum to win a round(s) when you've proved your point in a fight. It's another to literally stop fighting. He deserved to lose that fight and did. So no.

Most of Oscar's greatest wins were followed by Tito's demolishing of that opponent. The only opponents Oscar has on his resume that were "great" and not previously starched by Trinidad is Chavez and Quartey.

Quartey beat him. He scored more KD's and won more rounds with precision punching, but for some reason (we know why he's called the golden boy) was awarded the round for being a careless aggressor.

Chavez was already past his 100th ****in' bout....the man is already war torn. AND STILL gave DLH a fairly decent pounding before retiring on his stool. The man was old and VERY past it. Don't see how he can call this his greatest victory

To say he's better? :bart Don't think so...but that's JMO

Speed kills. There's no way, even with Floyd Sr in his corner, that Ricky Hatton has the defence or the head movement to protect himself from Manny's attacks. Don't get me wrong, I think it would be very competitive and Manny would need to be at peak fitness, but ultimately I cannot see any outcome except a brutal late Pacquiao stoppage after a war.

I don't think Oscar did lose a lot of his elite match-ups. I had him winning the Trinidad fight and the second Mosley fight, and I had him a narrow winner against both Whitaker and Quartey (though I had him losing to Sturm).

Tito deserves to be on there too. 3-weight world champ, ATG welter, stunning wins over Vargas and Joppy - Tito's only failing (if it is a failing) is that he was too brave and wanted it all too much. Hopkins? Yeah. Wright? Why the **** not?! Both he and Oscar had this attitude (which many great fighters do not, Calzaghe and Mayweather to name but two IMO), and that's the reason why I am a fan of both Oscar and Tito, and couldn't make a top 100 without them.
